Designed by architects at Sheffield’s CODA Studios, the Sky-House development is a 21st century take on the back-to-back housing model incorporating sensitively dense, beautiful, and naturally eco-friendly homes with roof gardens, terraces, and expansive windows located at the Waverley Regeneration site at Lescar Road, Catcliffe.
Starting at £183,567 the developments first phase has completely sold out due to the beautiful facilities of each home and being in a great location between Sheffield and Rotherham.
The site boasts 2 bed houses which are 830 sqft each, around 230 sqft bigger than a standard 2 bed apartment while being the same price. The site also offers 4 bed houses for those needing more space.
David Cross explains their target market to be “anyone really” but its likely that it will be millennials around 25 to 40, first time to second time buyers looking for an easy to maintain home. The site also has pocket play parks to accommodate children and has scenic attractions like its lake to enjoy family walks.
The advantage is that the site is only 5 miles from both Sheffield and Rotherham and just 5 minutes from the M1 meaning that their these homes are highly accessible for most people. It is also located close to many businesses.
Plans for a second phase of the development, to add an additional 44 properties along side the first phase, are about to be submitted to Rotherham Council.
Future projects also in include 40 riverside homes in Oughtibridge Mill and 7 homes at Fox Valley. Find out more about the Sky-House Development.
